The Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (the Award) in conjunction with the National Employment Standards set the minimum terms and conditions of employment.
The minimum rate of pay for a disability support worker is outlined in the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, (SCHADS 2010). There are several Levels and Pay Points within the award which reflects a workers experience and qualifications.
The Support Clusters and Pricing document (NDIS Price Guide) on the NDIS website contains information on maximum or benchmark prices of the supports in your NDIS Plan that govern rates if you are Plan or Agency Managed. This is updated at intervals and should be referred to on occasion.
Self Managers are not bound by these benchmark prices and can pay above or below these, so long as they meet the minimum rates of the SCHADS Award.
